Us too! Just heated up some pre cooked sweet potatoes for our 6 month old and heard a non-microwave noise...more like an electrical transformer...when we went to see what the problem was, the potatoes were on fire! Our Amana microwave is only 8 months old. No damage except to the poor potatoes

whoa! It's been a while since I've peeked in on you guys and I had a lot to catch up on! I couldn't stop reading. First off, what an adorable boy Adam is growing up to be! Holy cow he is cute! And how blessed he is to have such a faithful mama as you. (and papa too!) Thanks for sharing your stories and helping us all refocus our lenses a bit on what is really important. I'm always so grateful for those reminders and I'm so glad you are okay.

You really do have a way with dealing with things as they come. I always look up to how peaceful you seem even during the midst of hard times. Thank you for your spirit and for your very treasured friendship. I'm always here if those two feet need a walking partner. Life always seems a little easier to me when I have friends and family to help me along.

I just had the same thing happen to me - heating up some already cooked sweet potato chunks for my little boy. I googled it and found your blog - pretty amused to see that it was even the same vegetable that you had the problem with. Haha. Minerals makes sense, though. Still freaky nonetheless!
