Let them eat cake!

We had a get together to commemorate Adam's first year of life this past Sunday. We decided to keep it small, which was good because even with the small group our apartment was full to the brim. The night before, Justin and I slaved over his cake. I will never look at Starburst candies the same (fun fact - the more times you microwave them, cool them, and microwave them again, the more malleable they get - just thought you'd like to know). But really, it was fun and felt like a labor of love.

Adam had his first introduction into true football, and he loved it.

And then. . . . cake. It took Adam quite a while to warm up to it. But with a little encouragement he managed to eat a good chunk of it.

Now the celebrations are over and its back to life as a one year old.
