My friend, Olivia, told me about this great farm in the Los Altos hills called Hidden Villa. They teach classes there or you can go and just walk around (note: there is a $5 parking fee. Consider yourself duly warned to have cash on you when you go - but I was sneaky and went on Earth Day, when parking was free). They have a garden, cows, goats and few other sundry farm animals. It is pretty laid back and QUIET. I got out of the car and it struck me how quiet it was (aside from the occasional school aged children walking around). I suddenly couldn't remember the last time I had been away from the *din* of a city. Very lovely. I found a little patch of weeds and took some pictures.
