Halloween!

I love Halloween. What is funny is that I love it way more now than I did when I was a kid. Our ward had a trunk or treat on Friday. We dressed Adam up like a penguin and decorated our car as the South Pole (yes, the SOUTH pole. Justin kindly reminded me that penguins don't live in the North pole, but at the south. Must be accurate!). Adam was unamused and fell asleep on my shoulder.

On Saturday our friends Tiffany and Miguel came over to carve pumpkins. It was so much fun and the pumpkins came out great if I do say so myself. We finished carving right as the sun was going down, so we got to light them and enjoy the fruits of our labors. A great time was had by all.

The First Supper

Adam had his first rice cereal "meal" this past Saturday. It was messy and fun. He did a great job. I think he even ingested some, so it was a success. I have yet to figure out how I am going to fit in a solid food feeding into our little schedule. It seems that as soon as I get comfortable in our schedule and pattern Adam decides to reach a new developmental stage that shakes everything up again. But, really, that is what is so great about motherhood, life is never boring. I am so grateful for all the steps in my life that have brought me to this point, being a mother and a wife. Nothing in my life has ever made me feel more fulfilled and whole, and I don't think anything ever will. Anyway, sorry for waxing philosophical for a moment. Enjoy the pictures!

Almost 5 months old

The last month has been great. Adam is now rolling all over the living room floor. He now likes to play on his belly, instead of despising it as he did before. Twice now I have come back into the living room after leaving for 30 seconds and found that Adam has somehow gotten out of his little chair. Each time he has been happily playing away on the ground; unfazed by any jolt caused by falling the 3 or 4 inches onto the floor. I'm sure he is graceful and smooth in his falling process. At least that is what I'm telling myself. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
